Video

“It’s hard to see yourself in a field when there are not that many residents or faculty that look like you,” says Micha Cheng, MD, MPH, MS.

Micha Yin-Zheng Cheng, MD, MPH, MS, a resident in the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Urology, discusses the challenge of improving diversity in the urology workforce. Cheng helped launch the UCSF UReTER (UnderRepresented Trainees Entering Residency) Mentorship Program as a resource to help address this challenge.
