Peter R. Carroll, MD, has been appointed director of clinical services and strategic planning of the University of California, San Francisco Comprehensive Cancer Center and associate dean of the UCSF School of Medicine. In his new position, Dr. Carroll will focus on expanding existing clinical programs and will establish a clinical delivery system able to support and execute translational research.
Dr. Carroll has been a member of the UCSF faculty since 1986 and has served as the chair of the department of urology since 1996. He has also been surgeon-in-chief at the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center since 2003. He is an international expert on the diagnosis and management of urologic malignancies.
