In a statement, AUA said Dr. Chatman, a health policy attorney, has in-depth knowledge of Medicare and was twice appointed chair of the health committee for the Leadership Council of Aging Organizations, a coalition of 53 national organizations that address seniors’ issues.

“Priscilla Chatman is the right leader to take urology to a new level of participation and visibility,” said AUA Associate Executive Director of Health Policy Beth Kosiak, PhD. “Her legal training and diverse legislative experience and contacts guarantee that urology will be a force to be reckoned with. We are simply thrilled to have someone of her caliber.”

Dr. Chatman received her bachelor’s degree from Temple University in Philadelphia and her juris doctor degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE, where she graduated Order of the Barrister for outstanding achievement in oral advocacy.
