Inger Saphire-Bernstein has been named manager of regulation at AUA. Her duties will include monitoring, identifying, and analyzing proposed regulations relevant to urology.
Saphire-Bernstein will be also be responsible for analyzing the impact of regulations on physician practice and soliciting input from relevant AUA members, committees, internal departments, and outside organizations to formulate and communicate AUA positions on regulations.
“It is imperative that today’s medical associations closely monitor and be prepared to immediately and fully respond to health care regulations that affect both physicians and the patients they treat,” said AUA Associate Executive Director of Health Policy Beth Kosiak, PhD. “I am confident that the addition of Ms. Saphire-Bernstein will enable the AUA to expand its regulatory affairs activities to better support our members.”
