On July 14, 2026, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the calendar year 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) proposed rule, which outlines CMS' proposed payment and policy updates set to take effect on January 1, 2027. As always, a comment period follows, after which CMS must respond to the comments it receives in the final rule, typically released in early November. Comments may be submitted online at
