Robert J. Evans III, MD, has joined the department of urology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.

Robert J. Evans III, MD, has joined the department of urology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.

A specialist in painful bladder syndrome, Dr. Evans is a member of the medical advisory board of the Interstitial Cystitis Association. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, and completed his residency at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. He was previously in private practice at Alliance Urology Specialists in Greensboro, NC.

Dr. Evans is board certified, a fellow in the American College of Surgeons, and is currently the principal investigator on a clinical trial evaluating a new drug for treating the condition.
