Video Transcript:

The annual SWIU meeting at AUA is traditionally held on a Sunday morning. This is a meeting that provides updates to all of our members about the exciting initiatives that the organization has been able to accomplish in the preceding year, as well as the initiatives that are planned for the subsequent year. It's usually a networking meeting with breakfast, so we encourage all of our attendees to be able to have some time to talk with each other [and] to connect. Generally we have women in attendance from all over the country from all different types of clinical settings and practices. The AUA gives us a unique opportunity to also have international attendees. As the footprint of SWIU has grown nationally, we are happy to see that it has also grown internationally. We now have collaborative relationships with women across the world, including South America and as far as Australia and New Zealand. So, it's really wonderful to be able to welcome some of those members to our meeting as well.

Every year we have a guest speaker. The theme for this year is really He for She Support for SWIU, so we have encouraged and personally invited many of our male urology colleagues who have been ardent supporters of women in urology, of our institution, as well as the individual women that are a part of this institution. We're hoping to have a great audience. I want to remind all of the male urologists that this meeting is open to any of them and all of them any year, but especially this year we're really hoping to have a collaborative show of support. I'm really looking forward to it.
