Curtis Nickel, MD, FRCSC, discusses the findings of the third part of the study, “Serenoa repens (saw palmetto) for lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS): The evidence for efficacy and safety of lipidosterolic extracts,” which was conducted by Stephen B. Strum, MD, FACP. Nickel is a professor of urology at Queen’s University, and a research chair in urologic pain and inflammation at Kingston Health Sciences Centre, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
