Ramakrishna Venkatesh, MD, has joined the department of surgery at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Lexington, as an associate professor in the division of urology.
Dr. Venkatesh specializes in advanced laparoscopic procedures of the kidney and prostate, treatment of complex stone problems, and robotic renal and prostate surgeries.
After receiving his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in India, he completed a residency in the United Kingdom and a fellowship in minimally invasive urology at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis. His areas of surgical and research interests include development of novel techniques in minimally invasive urology, including single-port laparoscopy.
