Robert Waldbaum, MD, has been named chairman of urology at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. Dr. Waldbaum, who served as director of the hospital's division of urology for 30 years, will be the first chairman of urology at the hospital.

He is clinical professor of urology at Cornell University Medical Center, vice president of the Kidney and Urology Foundation of America and chairman of its Urology Advisory Committee, and AUA's national historian.

In other news, due to the growing demand for men's health services, North Shore University Hospital said its division of urology will no longer report to the hospital's chairman of surgery and will now become its own department. The department includes 20 physicians and six full-time physician assistants.
