Filling gaps in urologic care from the EHR side

“Status quo EHR [and] status quo documenting [are] not going to give us the insights that we really need about how [patients are] doing now, and what are the opportunities we have to improve their care,” says Shirley Lee, CRNP-FNP, MPH.

In this video, Shirley Lee, CRNP-FNP, MPH, discusses the importance of inputting data in discrete fields in EHR systems to help close gaps in care. Lee is director of a patient navigation program and a nurse practitioner for the Greater Los Angeles Division of Genesis Healthcare Partners and Vice President of Clinical Strategy for Preveta.
