Biopsy-based test predicts PCa progression, recurrence

Yonkers, NY-Aureon Laboratories' Prostate Px+ is a new prognostic test designed to predict prostate cancer progression and disease recurrence at the time of diagnosis. Using prostate biopsy tissue, the test can predict disease severity and the likelihood of disease progression for surgical candidates, according to the company. This enables patients and physicians to make more informed decisions about treatment options.

Boot-like stirrups convert exam tables for procedures

Honeoye Falls, NY-The boot-styled, physician-designed Harvey stirrups from William Harvey Medical Equipment can be quickly installed in place of standard Ritter, Hamilton, and Midmark exam table footrest stirrups, using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Adjustable straps on the bootlike units secure the legs for increased patient comfort during longer procedures.
