Prostate Cancer Working Group 4: What urologists need to know

The Prostate Cancer Working Group (PCWG) has released its fourth iteration of consensus recommendations, PCWG4, updating the framework first established in 1999 to guide the design, conduct, and reporting of prostate cancer clinical trials.¹ The update reflects a prostate cancer landscape that has changed substantially over the past decade, including the routine use of genetic testing, the emergence of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-PET imaging, and the earlier integration of androgen receptor (AR) pathway inhibitors, taxanes, PSMA radioligand therapies, and PARP inhibitors into treatment sequencing.
