Study shows durable 3-year outcomes with first-line gemcitabine/docetaxel in NMIBC

As ongoing BCG shortages continue to challenge the management of high-risk non–muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), interest has grown in alternative first-line intravesical treatment strategies. Updated findings from a phase 2 trial of first-line intravesical gemcitabine and docetaxel demonstrated durable 3-year high-grade recurrence-free survival, no progression during treatment, and a manageable safety profile in patients with BCG-naïve high-risk NMIBC.¹
