An Akron, OH, jury recently found Donna Moonda, the widow of Gulam Moonda, MD, a urologist formerly with Sharon Regional Health Systems, Hermitage, PA, guilty of orchestrating the murder of her husband in 2005. Prosecutors said the slaying was a botched attempt by Mrs. Moonda to gain a $6 million inheritance. She was sentenced to life in prison.

Prosecutors said the slaying was a botched attempt by Mrs. Moonda to gain a $6 million inheritance. She was sentenced to life in prison.
During a drive from their Hermitage home to Toledo, OH, Mrs. Moonda pulled over on the Ohio Turnpike to switch drivers. Her lover, Damian Bradford, approached and shot the 69-year-old urologist. Bradford has been sentenced to 17½ years in prison.
