Urology Times has been recognized for graphic and editorial excellence in two national awards programs.
The American Society of Business Publication Editors honored Urology Times with two awards-one for design and one for editorial-in its 29th Annual Azbee Awards of Excellence. The publication received a national gold award for best front cover-news tabloid (Aug. 15, 2006 cover) and a regional bronze award in the category of how-to article (“Laparoscopic extraperitoneal intrafascial RP: Technique,” by David Canes, MD, and Ingolf A. Tuerk, MD, Aug. 1, 2006).
The Aug. 15, 2006 cover, which featured Urology Times’ annual “AUA Take-Homes In-Depth” report, also earned a gold award in the graphics division of the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors 2007 Awards Competition.
“These awards are a tremendous honor, especially given the tough competition in both awards programs,” said Richard R. Kerr, editor-in-chief. “They are a testament to the hard work and talent of our art and editorial teams and the skill and knowledge of the two physician authors.”
