Urology Times honored for design excellence

Urology Times has received two awards for cover design in recent national journalism competitions.

The American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors honored Urology Times with a gold award in the tabloid cover category for its Aug. 15, 2008 cover. The cover used images of gemstones and jewelers’ hands to illustrate the "clinical gems" discussed in Urology Times’ "AUA Take-Homes In-Depth" report.

In the American Society of Business Publication Editors annual awards competition, Urology Times took home a silver award in the front cover/news tabloid category. The winning cover, from the May 15, 2008 issue, showed a surgeon pondering his future in Urology Times’ pre-AUA annual meeting "State of Urology" special report.

Special congratulations go to Kristy Krasula, art director, and Pete Seltzer, senior art director, for their design work on the two covers.
