Weiss Memorial Hospital, Chicago, has appointed Norm Smith, MD, to the position of chief of urology.

Weiss Memorial Hospital, Chicago, has appointed Norm Smith, MD, to the position of chief of urology.

Dr. Smith is also a recent addition to the University of Chicago medical staff, serving as an associate professor and co-director of urologic oncology. He previously had been on medical staff at Northwestern University, Chicago, since 2001.

Dr. Smith is a board-certified urologic surgeon and active researcher, focusing on complex multidisciplinary care for prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers. He has published extensively about kidney cancer and testicular factors contributing to BPH and prostate cancer. His career includes an honored membership of the 2010-2011 Leadership Class of AUA.
