Scott Monroe, MD, has accepted the position of director of the division of reproductive and urologic products at FDA. Dr. Monroe has served as the acting director of the division since June 2006.
His positions in the pharmaceutical industry have included head of the department of reproductive medicine and director of clinical research and medical affairs. Dr. Monroe joined FDA in 2000 as a medical officer in the division of reproductive and urologic products. He was subsequently promoted to medical team leader in 2002, deputy division director in 2005, and acting division director in 2006.
