San Antonio-“The ABCs of Medical Management of Stones” mobile application is an interactive and updated version of the booklet of the same name. Using a simple, step-by-step approach to the diagnosis and treatment of nephrolithiasis, the app guides users through patient screening and evaluation and provides treatment recommendations based on the consensus of expert physician authors, says Mission Pharmacal, which sponsored the app’s development. The app is currently available for Apple devices.

Jersey City, NJ-PatientPoint has entered into a distribution agreement with HealthTronics IT Solutions to deliver population health management solutions within urology to drive improved adherence and compliance. The solution will combine patient portal and electronic check-in capabilities to facilitate real-time secure messaging of clinical information and streamline communication between patients and providers, according to PatientPoint. The product is expected to be released to market in the second quarter of 2014.
