Urologists’ career satisfaction can be measured in a number of ways: beliefs about fairness of their compensation, perceived financial and professional satisfaction, factors affecting plans to retire, and whether they would do it all over again if they were starting out today. Most urologists are professionally satisfied, but financial satisfaction is low, especially among solo practitioners, according to the Urology Times 2013 State of the Specialty survey.
