In an interview with Urology Times®, John L. Gore, MD, MS, FACS, shares the background and key findings from the study, “Radical Cystectomy Versus Bladder-Sparing Therapy For Recurrent High-Grade Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer: Results From The Comparison Of Intravesical Therapy And Surgery As Treatment Options (CISTO) Study.” These data were presented at the 2025 American Urological Association (AUA) Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gore is the vice chair of research and an adjunct professor of surgery at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
