Following use of MED3000, the investigators reported significant improvements in all 5 SEP questions in both patients and partners over the course of the 12 weeks.

"The TRAVERSE trial is the largest randomized placebo-controlled trial ever published in men receiving testosterone vs placebo," says Mohit Khera, MD, MBA, MPH.

The investigators reported a significant improvement in IPSS, from 21.9 at baseline to 12.6 at 4 years.

“Initiating oral TU therapy with Kyzatrex at 400 mg BID is safe and effective in achieving therapeutic serum testosterone levels," wrote the authors.

The investigators found that only 2 (1.4%) urology programs and 12 (5.3%) OB/GYN programs included female sexual dysfunction content.

“In the absence of infection, [drain and retain] is a safe strategy without further complications compared to the primary groups," said Thairo Pereira, MD.

“Before and after implant, we noted a statistically significant increase in both the length and the girth,” said Peter J. Arnold, MD.

"What we found is, in a retrospective review of nearly 500 patients over a 3-year span, none of those patients reported erectile dysfunction, none of them reported loss of penile sensation, and none of them required a trip to the operating room for intervention," says Amy Pearlman, MD.

Although low, men experienced a higher risk for erectile dysfunction and hypogonadism after being prescribed semaglutide for weight loss; however, further questions remain.

Further, men with Peyronie disease treated with PRP injections demonstrated a 25% reduction in curvature at a median of 10 degrees after 6 months.

“How we set up patients for success comes not just in our individual clinical encounters, but also how we approach patient care as an organization,” says Niels V. Johnsen, MD, MPH.

Severe SUI was defined as 3 or more pads daily and severe erectile dysfunction was defined as an International Index of Erectile Function score of 10 or lower.

"We've seen that the rate of burnout among women in urology is rising particularly quickly," says Marah C. Hehemann, MD.

Findings showing an increased risk for UTIs highlight the importance of follow-up and counseling of women during the initiation of anti-androgen therapy.

In a retrospective study of almost 500 men, the use of hyaluronic acid filler for penile girth enhancement appeared safe with limited adverse events.

At baseline, 16 patients had an IIEF-EF score of 11-21. These patients reported significant improvement in IIEF-EF score at Times 2 and 4, according to the authors.

“One of our early findings showed that males who have IPPs use less depression medication, have less emergency room visits, and have less clinic visits for psychiatry-related conditions,” says Roei Golan.

Albeit a rare cancer, the understanding of penectomy options in penile cancer is important for physicians, as more data are also needed, according to Senthooran Kalidoss.
